Grandpa seems disoriented at times and his house is overrun by cats; he's now working for a company looking for a long-buried treasure near town. Sam, Beth, and a local teen start looking for the treasure as well but will danger scare them off? A good mystery for pre-teens.

Frustrating and poorly organized

This one's going back. They need an editor. On nearly every page the Figures that illustrate what's being described are on the opposite or next page?! Screenshots are not clear, and there are no helpful images showing where the drop-down menus are or zoomed-in shots to help locate tools, menus, or settings. This is a book that was rushed to press and it looks like it. I bought it because the T of C looked comprehensive and the review seemed positive. Turns out it was probably written by the publisher. Spend your money on another manual.

Over that last three decades I have bought dozens of computer books. Most have been graphic design. If I put all the books in a pile from best at the top to worst at the bottom I would have to dig a hole to place this book. I just started learning Maya and you say this book is for beginners who need help navigating the gigantic cacophony of menus that make up this wonderful software. Ok so you tell me to select Animate Ghost Selected Options menu. Ok so how am I going to find that command???? You cant add one simple sentence to guide me to find this command. Throughout this entire book I spend hours wandering thru the menus of Maya trying to find the one simple click on your tutorials when all you had to do is add a few words to guide me. And all the pics for the tutorials are on the next page. You have to flip back and forth!! Ok so I have never posted a bad review on anything in my life because I believe that tolerance is a virtue. But this lack of effort or respect to people who are trying to better themselves in the creative, graphics world has motivated me to express my frustration. Oh yea you also wasted my hard earned money!!!! Sorry!!

Pieter Jan Kuijper, Professor of the Law of International Organizations, University of Amsterdam,Jan Wouters, Jean Monnet Chair EU and Global Governance, University of Leuven,Frank Hoffmeister, Head of Unit at DG Trade of the European Commission and Professor of Law at the Free University of Brussels, ,Geert De Baere, Assistant Professor of International Law and EU Law, Institute for European Law and Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, University of Leuven,Thomas Ramopoulos, European Commission; Research Fellow, Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies,

Pieter Jan Kuijper returned in September 2007 to the University of Amsterdam as Professor of the Law of International Organizations after more than twenty years in the service of the European Commission, latterly as Principal Legal Advisor and Director of the External Relations and Trade Law team of the Commission Legal Service. He has also been director of the Legal Affairs Division of the WTO Secretariat (1999-2002). During his years as practitioner of international law he has continued to teach, inter alia at the University of Amsterdam and at the Universite Libre de Bruxelles. His publications have concentrated on Community law, WTO law, and general international law and the relationship between them. He is a member of several professional societies and of the Board of Editors and Advisory Board of different international and Community law reviews.


Jan Wouters is Professor of International Law and International Organizations, Jean Monnet Chair Ad Personam EU and Global Governance, and founding Director of the Institute for International Law and of the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies, an interdisciplinary centre of excellence, at the University of Leuven (KU Leuven). As Visiting Professor at Sciences Po (Paris), Luiss University (Rome), and the College of Europe (Bruges) he teaches EU external relations law. He is a Member of the Royal Academy of Belgium for Sciences and Arts, is President of the United Nations Association Flanders Belgium, and practises law as Of Counsel at Linklaters, Brussels. He is Editor of the International Encyclopedia of Intergovernmental Organizations, Deputy Director of the Revue Belge de Droit International and an editorial board member in ten international journals.

Frank Hoffmeister studied law in Frankfurt, Geneva and Heidelberg (1989-1994) and received a PhD. at the Max-Planck-Institute for Foreign Public Law and International Law (1998). Between 1998 and 2001 he researched and taught as University Assistant at the Walter Hallstein-Institute for European Constitutional Law at the Humboldt-University in Berlin. He then entered the European Commission, first as Cyprus desk at DG Enlargement and afterwards as a member of the Legal Service, where he specialised on international law and WTO issues. In 2010, he became the Deputy Head of Cabinet of EU Trade Commissioner De Gucht, and as of 2010 he is Head of Unit dealing with anti-dumping at DG Trade. Besides, Frank teaches international economic law at the Free University University of Brussels and has published numerous articles on European and international law topics.

Geert De Baere is Associate Professor of International Law and EU Law at the Institute for European Law and the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies at the University of Leuven. He studied law at the University of Antwerp (Cand. Iuris, 1999 and Lic. Iuris, 2002) and at King's College, Cambridge (LL.M, 2003 and PhD, 2007). In 2005, he was a visiting research fellow at Columbia Law School's European Legal Studies Center, New York City. From 2007 to 2009, he worked as a referendaire in the chambers of Advocate General Sharpston at the Court of Justice of the EU, while being a postdoctoral research associate at the University of Antwerp.


Thomas Ramopoulos works as an official at the European Commission. He studied law (Hons) at Aristotle University of Thessaloniki and further completed a Master of Philosophy in International Relations at the University of Cambridge. He has been a researcher at the Leuven Centre for Global Governance Studies of the University of Leuven since 2011.

A Fine Fine Book on Tea

I have spent a little time alongside the tea-trade where English families have worked for four and five generations: Mister Griffiths know his subject inside and out, and I would be surprised had he not plenty of ancestors in the trade. The detail can seem daunting at first but it ultimately proves as satisfying as a pot of First-Flush Darjeeling (no tea-bags, milk or sugar if you please, just as the cognoscenti take it).

For the thrill-seeker it is all here: exploration, industrial espionage, gunboat diplomacy, cut-throat competition and foul tricks, high-society and the rest. For the new lovers of tea the author even teaches how to brew the best cup possible. For a general reader, a roller-coaster-ride of history, science and fact.

Want to know the dirty politics and (largely unreported) skulduggery behind the Boston Tea Party? The botany of tea and the amazingly complex job of running a tea-estate? Every ancient trick of the trade (mercifully abandoned) from smuggling to adulteration? Why tea-caddies needed locks or why last year's costly porcelain tea-service had to be given to the servants and replaced? A informative and acurate account of Tea.
By Trying to make a difference
This was factual and I might have found it more interesting if not for the fact that I had previous read a book about tea that I loved reading called All the Tea In China.
