She allowed him to lead her towards the beach, where they both sat down in the sand and stared out at the ocean. Or rather, it was Cami who was staring out at the ocean. After a moment, she realized that Drew was staring at her. She turned her eyes towards him, and her breath caught at the his hungry look.
One moment they were staring at each other, the next, they were kissing. Cami didn’t know how it started, but what she did know was that Drew’s lips were suddenly on her own, hard and hungry, his tongue seeking entrance into her mouth.
For a split second, Cami froze. She had not been with a man since her divorce and hadn’t planned on being with one now. But Drew had been so sweet, and he was so sexy, and his lips felt delicious against her own. So Cami finally allowed herself to relax, leaning into the kiss and opening her mouth to let him in.

The Stubborn Suitor

I am loving this series. The heroine is a single mother with extreme ex issues, and the hero has a hard time pulling himself away from work to have a personal life.
I wonder who's issues will cause the most drama? There are some very explosive possibilities on both sides.
The cliffhanger at the end left me wondering what will happen next?

The Stubborn Suitor Book one by Alexia Wilder. This is an ARC in exchange for a review.
Cami Hendricks, a nurse at Sacred Heart Hospital. She had recently gone through a very nasty divorce with her ex who was rich and a lawyer himself. One of his colleges represented him in the divorce leaving her with only child support for their three year old daughter, Madison. Cami came away from the divorce with little to nothing. Cami is at work and on her break when her ex calls her to tell her that he is getting married and that his intended is going to be a stay at home wife. He also said that because she could not have children that they were going to fight for primary custody of Madison. The next day Cami and Maggy her best friend, talked Cami into going to a weekend beach party at her folks beach house. Beings it was her ex's turn to have Madison, she agrees.
At the party Cami is introduced to Drew, a friend of Maggy's brother. Drew is a business man worth around 2 1/2 billion dollars according to Maggy. Drew is a tall, dark headed, amber colored eyes, and extremely attractive, with dimples when he smiles. There is chemistry right away, between the two.Cami and Drew share a hot "third base" action at the beach. Then she sees Drew with Analise, who is the daughter of an important Client of his. Cami thinks that he has a girl friend and she is upset about this. Cami tries to avoid Drew the rest of the weekend. She finds out later that Maggy and her brother set there meeting up and that Drew had contacted Grant for Cami's phone number and other information stating that "he had become obsessed with Cami." Drew calls her a few days later and she agrees to meet him for drinks hoping that will settle her nerves for the first court hearing on Friday which is the next day. One thing leads to another and the end up in bed together, she falls asleep in his arms, only to find herself alone the next morning, no note or anything from him........can't wait for paart 2!!!

HOT & COLD......WHAT IS IT WITH MEN!!!!

Cami & Drew, the unlikely pair, but there is more to Drew than Cami knows. Cami Is a nurse, single mom of Madison her 3 year old. Cami works 10-12 hour shifts so that she can have three days off to spend with her daughter, and when she is working her mother takes care of Madison. Her mom is always telling her that she needs to lose weight but it's not that she's over weight, she just has more curves that a normal person. Cami's ex-husband is giving her a hard time, now that he's getting married again, want's primary custody of their daughter and Cami won't have it, so he's suing her for custody. Cami works so that she can pay her lawyer and her bills, but on the weekends when Madison is supposed to be with her ex she feels lost, So her friend from work, Maggie tells her she is going to the beach house for the weekend with her cause she has to be there and she doesn't want to be alone. While at the beach house there are cocktail party's where there are really rich people and Cami feels a little out of her elememt but then Maggie introduces her to Drew Sloan a friend of her family. They seem to get along and as they leave to party to go talk quietly they are intercepted by some very rich people who want to talk to Drew and they way they are talking makes her feel small & inadequite so she leaves them to go finds her friends. Later as the party is almost wound down she walks out on the boat dock to look at the ocean and just chill. On her way back to the house Drew is leaning against a fence and comes to her and the go for a walk on the beach & talk and just have fun. Then they get a little touchy/feely and when things go almost to far Cami calls it off and Drew says it fine. He helps her to her feet and the walk back to the house for the night. Cami is always trying to analyze everything and she can't get over how she felt about Drew but she just doesn't have time for a man in her life. The next morning at breakfast they are having a great talk when a model comes over to sit next to Drew and then it was like Cami wasn't there. Hot & cold that was the way it was with him and she just got mad and left. Later Maggie & she lay out on the beach and then they have to get ready for that night's cocktail party, and when she see's Drew his arm around the model and it's once again like she isn't even there. So she decides to just let it go.
